Set in a small suburban town, a young man just entering college is struck by the death of his father. Mysterious circumstances surrounding the death are only the beginning of his adventures as he learns that his father was in debt to a group of shady criminals. Adding to the list of problems, our young hero needs to save enough money for his college semester and find a date for prom night! ​

Changelog 21.0.0 wip.4468: The first release using our new source code is finally here! As we mentioned in our last news post, not all of the Tech Update content is available yet. We have been working extensively on all aspects of Summertime Saga and now have most key systems and art in place. Starting with this release we are switching our focus to bringing familiar content into the new engine and releasing our progress every 2 months. As well as moving over existing content, we will also be slipping in some new additions for players to enjoy each update. Tech-Update Build Unlocked content: 1st school day Debbie story Jenny story Old saved games: Old saves will not be compatible as this version of the game uses a new source code. The game is now widescreen and higher resolution (varied across platforms). Many new locations across town have been added to the map (and you'll be able to visit them all). All locations have been improved visually and extended (art, buttons, crowds, etc). UI, buttons and navigation improved and streamlined. Jenny's story has been improved and updated with a bit of new content. Debbie's story is relatively the same (some parts use old art and no pregnancy yet) but we added various improvements. First day of school has been reworked with new art and content to introduce players to the game. Changelog 0.20.16 (Pre-tech): New Content: Expanded five existing scenes with six new animated positions. Each position has new unique sex dialogue. One has new lead-out dialogue too. Added one new micro quest with an all-new scene and repeatable variant. Improvements: Scenes with variants will now indicate how many have been unlocked and the total available. The actions are now individual functions stored in a dictionnary local to "process_actions(...)" - FSM data is now stored in an FSMData object that will not change version to version. That object is created when you start a new game. - The only state saved is the chain of triggers the machines went through. Disclaimer: This 5 star review is out of respect for the pre-tech update version of the game and ignoring the agonizing development slowdown the game is currently in. That said, wow... there is such a wide variety of women to lewd in this game, all made with a unique and cohesive art style. Each one has their own charm and appeal (except the hospital receptionist ). My favorites are the women who eventually just hang around nude like Grace and Consuela. I normally don't care much for sex scenes but the sex scenes in this game are really well animated. The movements look so natural at times it made me wonder if they were frame-by-frame tracings of real video footage somehow. This game is absolutely still worth playing but it is obviously unfinished. You'll encounter "work in progress" signs on many interactable objects and there are a handful of girls with little to no content. The amount of content the game does have is more than enough for me to still give a top score regardless.

Have played this since some of the earliest builds and played through the game many times. Was also a patron for some time. I'll keep the review to the actual game and not the major issues with the dev (which many have discussed to death) The game prior to the revamp (which you can access still) is a solid 4/5. The story is there, the animation and art is good and there's a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy. If it was fully completed (or at least had all the main girls done) it would've been a 5/5 product. The revamp is a 2/5. It has some good minor tweaks. They upgraded the interface (which was unnecessary honestly), cleaned up the environment art and introduced some more backstory to really round things out. It feels like a more marketable product. However, the character art and animations, the game's charm, went to shit. The revamp introduced wonky shapes and sex scenes with weird angles which are just unappealing. The score comes to an average of 3/5. Old build is a must play. New build is a skip.

Summertime Saga is like that old rock and roll legend that was so cool though their 40s and 50s, but that never took care of themselves and are just mostly sad now. It's been an age since it received a meaningful update that isn't trying to fix code that mostly worked from what I recall of the pre-tech update game. The storylines that still exist are good -Roxxy and Eve both are solid romances on their own, the Tony/Maria path deals with an actually serious topic, and at the time the house/family stuff was groundbreaking in AVNs. But... this just isn't it anymore. Summertime Saga crawled so many other games could run, but now it just feels like it's limping along with its subscription service alms bowl muttering that this update is going to be different. Overall, still worth a playthrough.

I’ve been playing this game since it started and I rate it based on quality, not on frustration with development time or story pacing. I’m into cheating stories, and early on the game had a lot of potential for that. As the story progresses, though, most cheating possibilities are removed or rewritten so they no longer count as cheating. Removed or neutralized examples: Roxxy only sleeps with you after she’s already broken up with Dexter. When you date Roxxy, her friends only sleep with you with her permission. Helen is already heading toward divorce; if you sleep with her the divorce happens and the Mia route is closed. You can’t sleep with Mia and Helen. You can’t sleep with June if she’s dating Erik. Liu breaks up with Kim. Melonia’s marriage is effectively over once Rump goes to jail. What’s left (the small cheating still present): Maria: Tony asks the MC to have sex with her because he can’t have kids, but if the MC finishes outside her she says she doesn’t mind and asks not to tell Tony — a secretive moment that feels like the last real cheating element in that route. Sleeping with Crystal behind Roxxy’s back — the game barely treats it as cheating. Odette and Grace — likely to be reframed as sharing rather than cheating later. The game already has plenty of regular sex routes, fetishes, and taboo content, so it’s disappointing that cheating routes are consistently weakened or discarded instead of being properly explored.

Truly a shame. The art is cool and really original but the fame is full of bugs. I am aware that the dev tries his best i mean the tech upgrade kinda proves it. But it still fell realy lacking. Still i remain hopefull that one day this game will be fully playable to the enjoyment of many.

At one point in time this game was the poster child of the adult gaming genre... that's not to say the genre as a whole has improved so much as this game shit the bed. I cannot think of one area where it has improved since it's early days. The 'gameplay' is essentially on rails, the models are just ok by 2d standards, the story went off the rails and I'd rather get railed than to try playing this mess again.

I can only give this review in two parts. Pre-Build: PEAK I lost so many hours in this game and all the girls are beautiful in their own way. Story took a long while to finish but whatever kind of finish I reached, it was good enough New Build: Adequate Honestly, I can't really tell the difference in the art. If there is, it's minor at best. And all the romances are mostly relegated to Debbie and Jenny right now as the dev is still working on this. Conclusion: Just play the OG tech build and wait for the new one. to finish. But the new build has been going on for what feels like forever. Silksong didn't take this long I don't believe, but this new build could be finished once GTA6 is released. Maybe. Side note: I think the dev's ambitions are going a little too far with all this builds, etc.

Don't bother playing the v.2.1 Tech Update. v0.20.16 - Review PROS: Good animations, decent story, nice "adventure gameplay". CONS: I know it's fantasy, but the way the character gets laid is the exactly opposite on how the sex dynamics really works in IRL - it's a very infantile writing. Also, the art is really terrible.

GAME GOT KILLED There is no point in downloading 21.0 I advise y'all to just go to 20.16 I had played Summertime Saga back in 2021, and it was absolute peakest peak. There used to be so much freedom of exploring,many scenes, and good pacing. This version killed everything!!! Now you can basically go everywhere, but everything is empty, some characters can't be found at their home (Mia), feels like story is stagnating and they removed all sex scenes in my opinion. Idk if they made this to make us pay for the Patreon version or smth, but this is plain garbage right now, zero point in playing.

I wouldn’t call Saga a good game, but I wouldn’t call it a bad one either. It’s obviously unfinished, but it definitely has soul . To begin with, for those who haven’t played it and who are unsure whether it’s worth spending their time or not (just like I was about a week ago, lol): Don’t wait a full release or anything like that, the game is more abandoned than not. Saga is definitely worth at least giving it a chance. Start with the so-called stable version. The tech update in it's current state is only for those who already completed stable version and who want to see Debbie’s reworked route (which is clearly better than in the stable version, to be fair). Just don’t forget to install the incest patch, without it many characters and their relationships feel weird and unnatural. Now about the game itself (the stable version), or rather about the downsides - of which there are A LOT : The near-total absence of sound. An extremely strange decision from the developer, and it significantly worsens the experience. And it’s hard to explain this by anything other than plain laziness. What’s the problem with adding at least basic ambient sounds from a free library to EVERY location in the game? The developer clearly doesn’t have much gaming experience. From a game design standpoint, this game is a mess. With most of its mechanics (aside from the basic visual novel mechanic - reading text and choosing options in dialogs) one question arises: why does this even exist? Why Saga has minigames? To make gaming process more “diverse”? Nope, because it’s just brainless clicking, there’s absolutely no challenge in these minigames. Or are they supposed to increase immersion? Also nope, because they’re again just mindlessly clicked through. And what immersion can we talk about in a game with no sound, lol? Honestly, if there were an option to disable all minigames, I’d pick it without hesitation. Why Saga has branching routes? Usually in visual novels, after a branch you get several more hours of content for each path, but here the branches hit a dead end literally 10–15 minutes later. And what was the problem with letting the protagonist “have” both Mia and Helen at the same time? Or letting the protagonist (and Eric) “have” both June and Eric’s mom simultaneously? No clue. (The only branching that actually makes sense is in Eve’s route but that raises a new question. So, the developer gives us the option to make a kink/fetish optional in a side route, but in the main story we aren’t given such an option and can’t avoid the “wife sharing” kink. Weird. Just weird.) And even if we look at the basic component of this game - the visual novel aspect - there are problems too. Not only are some routes blocked by others for no apparent reason, but most routes aren’t synchronized with each other. Progress in your relationship with a character in one route does not affect that character in other parallel routes. As a result, we have at least 3 different versions of Roxxy, at least 2 versions of Eve, 2 versions of Dexter (and so on), all existing at the same time. But the game also has its positives. It’s immediately obvious which routes the developer actually enjoyed working on (the main story, Roxxy, Eve, the protagonist’s family, all characters in the Saga Dealership), while other routes feel unfinished and rushed. And the “action” scenes themselves are good. It’s impressive how many kinks/fetishes the developer managed to fit into ONE game. Overall , Saga leaves the impression not of a game (unfinished or otherwise), but of a sandbox the developer was playing around in. You can see where he was genuinely interested and went deep even into the most minor characters (you’ll never forget Odette), and where he quickly got bored and abandoned the idea. And I’m afraid Saga may never become a real, complete game. But I’d be happy to be proven wrong.

First I have to say, one of the best (if not the best) 2D game in this whole platform. I always heard it mentioned in every place where discussing about the best h-games, and now, after finally completing it (stable version obvious), I finally get why everyone talks about it. Opposite to what the wiki says, the best way to play the game (and also a way to almost vanish every grind/slowness sensation while playing) is doing 3-4 quests at the same time (besides the main story). Just have the wiki at hand to check things, just to make sure to not block quests or having an issue (although I don't consider it so necessary since I didn't have a single issue about it). Usually, I don't stories so serious in this kind of games, but this one really makes you want to know more and keep playing, not only to bastardly jerk off, but also (and sometimes even more) for exploring the main and the side quests. The strongest point I found was the characters: their personalities and stories are pretty good, some of them a bit dumb, bust most of them plenty interesting. The variety of backstories, the way to progress in each quest, and the character development, are pretty nice. Tony and Maria; Eve, Grace and Odette; Roxxy and her friends; Debbie, Jenny and Diane; and a large etcetera, they're all really good quests. No, this is not the Shakespeare or Tolkien heir, but, talking about h-games, it's definitely something else, and something special, something worth of a little piece of my heart and memories. I found gameplay and mini games entertaining, something weird even to me, since mini games in almost every h-game usually are shit. And, what to say about art and animations. Probably the only area where everyone agrees this game is great. The variety of animations, angles, positions, and practices (some of them including some fetishes like foot or other stuff) is awesome (despite having some characters with thousands of animations and then others with 1 or 2). But, there are two things I found dissapointing about the game: 1, despite having so much content, there are many parts where the game feels incomplete, or even abandoned, as if the dev said "fuck the things I haven't done, let's introduce another big ass characterwith 1 blowjob and 1doggy-style scene". 2, I was excited when I found the game was receiving a kind of "remake/remaster", and all scenes and storylines were getting reworked, but, I've seen the development rythm it's slow as fuck, and seems that this game will get really completed (because, as I said, stable version isn't completed at all) once Elon Musk discovers how to time-travel and deletes the tweet sharing his horrifying Elden Ring built. A shame, since this game has everything to be the GOAT, but seems to not want to be it, and just longing its life-time by bad. At the end, I highly recommend to play the stable version (specially with the naughty tribute mod), and I trully hope dev gets hands on and works more deeply in this gem.

I spent some time playing this game a long time ago and I think it's a gem. There are lots of storylines, everything is well written, and the game is fun. The visuals are great and really capture the overall atmosphere.
